Type of Assignments: Nomad offers travel nursing assignments across the country, across all specialties and facility size. Assignments average 13 weeks, but can range from 8-26 weeks based on the opportunity. Travelers also often renew their assignments if interested. Our team of Nomad Navigators works closely with every nurse to ensure that they all have the best experience possible on Nomad.
Clinical Nurse Liaison?: Nomad has a specialized team of Nomad Navigators that are always available to help answer any questions or help with any issues that may arise. We also have an HR director who is available 24 hours a day by phone.
NATHO?: Nomad Health has been Joint Commission certified since 2018 and we are members of NATHO.
Nurse Recruiter Fit: At Nomad, we replaced individual recruiters with an entire team of specialized Nomad Navigators who help each nurse through different parts of their application process. Nurses have access to the entire team’s experience and knowledge throughout their time with Nomad so they can always feel like they have a whole team in their corner. They will also have a specialized contact throughout their assignment who can help them with any issues that may arise.
Insurance: Nomad provides medical, vision and dental insurance through United Healthcare starting from the first day of a nurse’s assignment.
401k: Nomad does not currently provide 401(k).
Other Benefits: Aside from medical, dental, and vision insurance, Nomad provides a housing stipend for nurses as well as up to $1000 travel reimbursement to an assignment. We also run payroll on a weekly basis so nurses receive a weekly deposit directly in their bank account.
