Career Opportunities: We currently work with PTs, PTAs, OTs, COTAs, SLPs, RNs, LPNs, OR Techs, CVOR Techs, SPTs and CNAs.
Type of Assignments: We have travel jobs in all 50 states. We also have contracts direct with certain facilities and first access to allied travel needs in the Midwest, California and Washington State via our parent company, RehabVisions.
Size of Company: We have a small team, but we like to think size doesn’t matter as we still provide excellent service and many of the same benefits as larger companies in this industry. We are not publicly traded, which means we do not have to answer to shareholders and are able to make changes to better our travelers on a quick turnaround.
Name Not Number: We are a small team, so we prefer our recruiters run a smaller desk compared to the average in this industry. Working with a smaller number of travelers allows our recruiters to get to know them well, communicate better, and stay on top of their travel needs. Our recruiters are the contact for both the traveler and the client. They know their travelers and what they are looking for and are not waiting on account managers since they have direct access and can best champion for their candidates.
Clinical Nurse Liaison?: We have an emergency 24 hour contact and our recruiters always share their cell phone information.
NATHO?: Yes, we are JCAHO-certified. We do not belong to NATHO at the moment, but it is something we consider.
Nurse Recruiter Fit: Compatibility is typically discovered through initial calls, and the recruiter learns the traveler’s preferences on communication style and frequency, how they like to be submitted and line up their next contracts. But if a traveler is truly unhappy with their current recruiter pairing they can talk to the Division Manager about working with a different recruiter.
Insurance: We have a nationwide plan through BCBS. We offer both a PPO and a HDHP with HSA and FSA options. Yes, we offer both dental and vision insurance.
401k: Yes, we provide 401k. There is a company match and you are fully vested from day one.
Other Benefits: We have a competitive benefits offering. Our travelers enjoy 100 percent licensure reimbursement (no limit), continuing education reimbursement, direct deposit/weekly pay, sick days and retention rewards. Some of our other benefits are basic life insurance, AD&D, short term disability, voluntary disability and supplemental term life insurance.
What makes you more than just another recruiter: We’re a family company. We were founded by a physical therapist and his wife, a nurse, and are still owned and operated by healthcare professionals. We are honest and upfront. Our recruiters go through training and work hard to be helpful and supportive for their travelers (you work with the same recruiter for your entire tenure with Cariant). We have a division dedicated to nursing.
Anything Else?: We know there are a lot of companies out there. Hundreds! We believe the recruiter makes the difference in your experience. So don’t be afraid to try out companies you may not hear about often. Most companies receive the same job openings and pay packages will not vary by large amounts. Find a recruiter who has your back and stick with them.
