Travel
Healthcare placement for nurses, technologists and therapists throughout the
United States. Our assignments are typically 13 weeks long but can be
as little as eight weeks or as long as the facility and traveler would like
to extend. If the facility would like to hire the traveler regular full time
we are able to favorably respond to that request as well. Our goal is to
meet the needs of the facilities as well as our travelers.
Can I expect personal service with your company?
That’s the
only kind of service we offer. Qshifts’s foundation is
based on advocacy. Our company's foundation is sterling
service and advocacy. Personal service and commitment to our
employees and client facilities is our standard mode of
business.

Do you cover all the United States, parts of the
U.S. or do you also offer international assignments?
We are
serving approximately 40 states and have 800 to 1000 open requests at any
given time. We are not as large as the largest agencies, however, we have as
many requests. We look forward to continued exponential growth due to our
philosophy.
About professional insurance, do you believe
that the insurance that a company provides is good enough, or does the nurse
also need to obtain her own professional insurance?
That is the travelers’
decision. We do have general & professional liability insurance that covers
the traveler while on assignment for Qshift that we feel is sufficient. We
do not encourage nurses to have double coverage; we have never had a
litigious situation. Our insurances are comprehensive and exhaustive
so nurses do not need to get their own. We recommend that they not waste
their money if they inquire about it. Double insurance is for insurance
companies and attorneys benefit. Over 16 years q Shift has never had
litigation directly against any employees due to quality assurance, quality
and professionalism. If the need arises our nurses know to let us address
and solve any issue.
What size is your company (small, medium,
large), and can I expect to be treated as a number or a name?
We are a
small to medium size company in which no employee is treated as a number.
You will always be treated by name; we don’t issue numbers for our
travelers. We continually have new employees who express that is how
they had felt. Service is not rocket science, it is merely one commitment at
a time to one person at a time. This is q Shift Travel Nurses.
I work night shift, what if I have problems at
night? Do you have someone I
can talk to even in the middle of the night?
Our
employees reach us live 24/7/365 days a year. If the need is to talk to
their recruiter or placement coordinator, we will connect them. There are no
recordings or message banks at q Shift Travel Nurses.
What other type of benefits does your company
provide?
Travelers are beginning to realize that all significant travel companies
have the same benefits. The difference is how they are presented. It is
important that travelers listen closely to what is actually being said. If
there is a primary difference in q Shift employees, it is in the allocation
of non taxable compensation. At like locations and positions, q Shift
employees will receive more net pay after taxes than other companies
provide. Our interest is in maximizing the take home pay of our employees.
We always follow the federal guidelines to the maximum allowance for the
employees benefit. Our employees appreciate the difference. Other
benefits include: Weekly direct deposit, 401k with matching, bonuses
(application, assignment, loyalty, referral), license reimbursement,
continuing education reimbursement, free medical, free life insurance with
medical insurance, dental and vision insurance (section 125), travel
reimbursement, and tax-free weekly stipend. For housing we offer private
one-bedroom, Corporate housing or a housing stipend, whichever will work for
the traveler.
What is your average time from acceptance of application to first day on the
job for those nurses ready-to-go?
Q Shift applications may
be completed by mail, or internet based. The process is very quick and
dependent on the timely receipt of a completed profile to begin the process.
Once we have a profile to go through our processes we are in contact with
the individual almost daily to complete the final documents. We
are very aggressive in promoting and facilitating the interview. Once the
facility and employee agree to terms, a start date is verified. As a rule,
from interview to first day on the job will be anywhere between three days
to two weeks. However, this time can
be shortened but we will have to work very closely with the traveler to
ensure that we have a quick turnaround on all documents required to begin an
assignment.
What
