Can
I expect personal service with your company?
We
consider all who work with us as our friends. We try to teat all as we would
want to be treated.
Do you cover all the
United States, parts of the U.S. or do you also offer international assignments?
We cover all 50 states,
but do not offer international travel.
About professional
insurance, do you believe that the insurance that a company provides is good enough, or
does the nurse also need to obtain her own professional insurance?
While
all nurses that are employed by us are covered, as a friend, I personally
encourage all to carry personal policies. The cost is reasonable, and I feel
it is added protection, peace of mind, plus opens up more opportunities for
nurses.
What size is your company
(small, medium, large), and can I expect to be treated as a number or a name?
We are
very small, (under 10),which is why I originally choose PRN to work with. I
feel personally responsible for every nurse who works with us- that they
have a good assignment, and are taken care of.
I work night shift, what
if I have problems at night?
Our main
office number has a recorder on after hours, which rolls to a pager. So, if
someone leaves a message, it is answered immediately. My office is in my
home, so I am available most of the time, including week-ends and holidays.
What other type of
benefits does your company provide?
Integrity
What is your average time
from acceptance of application to first day on the job for those nurses ready-to-go?
We will
get the nurse there next day if needed. It just depends on the start date,
where they are located, and what if more convenient for the nurse.
What
makes your company more than just another travel company?
The owners of PRN are both
travel nurses. They are soldiers in the field also. More importantly, we are
small enough that we have the flexibility to work with each nurse
individually as to what they need. I do not work off of commission, which is
normally how many companies pay their recruiters. Therefore, I have no
financial gain for placing nurses. I actually enjoy what I do! Working to
get a nurse an assignment where he or she wants, with the best possible rate
we can give, is the reward.
I live in a small, rural town, and work with
a small company by choice. We are friends, while at work or home. We
consider nurses whom work with us as our friends also. We are not a large
Corporation, nor owned by one. We try to build friendships, not careers. The
most valuable resource a company has is the people who work for it. If you
treat each person individually, with respect, and accountability, your
company builds itself.
