What kind of career opportunities does your company offer?

We offer travel assignments for both Allied and nursing in most states. Typically the assignments are 8-13 weeks in length. Occasionally we also have shorter terms available. We take pride in the quality of health care we help to deliver. Finally, our seasoned, experienced staff is able to deliver a very caring and hands on approach to our travelers.

Can I expect personal service with your company?

Personal service is our main focus. We choose to remain a small to medium sized agency so this can be accomplished. We are a true partner for the traveler and hospital. Our sales team will market to an area you want to go, we cater to special needs and make your package according to what you need not what we think you need.

Do you cover all the United States, parts of the U.S. or do you also offer international assignments?

We cover as much of the US as we can. We are always calling new areas and hospitals to see where we can help. Every month we add new clients to our database.

About professional insurance, do you believe that the insurance that a company provides is good enough, or does the nurse also need to obtain her own professional insurance?

We feel that we are protecting our fellow employees to the fullest with the coverage we provide. We have heavily invested in insurance but the bottom line is that each traveler needs to self educate and decide for themselves if it is necessary to carry their own professional insurance. We would never discourage a professional from obtaining personal protection, but we do carry a substantial policy, but we do however carry professional insurance with the traveler in mind.


What size is your company (small, medium, large), and can I expect to be treated as a number or a name?
We are a small to medium sized agency by design so we can give that personal touch. Our recruiters don't handle hundreds of travelers and most of our in house employees know the names of all of our field reps. Again, personal service is what we strive to achieve.


I work night shift, what if I have problems at night? Do you have someone I can talk to even in the middle of the night?

We have someone on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for both housing and hospital issues. We promise a 2 hr call back time. If you leave a message for the recruiter on call, someone will try to help you. We also have an after hours housing line.

What other type of benefits does your company provide?

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including complete health care coverage. We pay on time, every time and are a true partner with you while in the field. In addition, the variety of assignments we are able to offer can get you to your desired location, with the pay, and assignment length you’re looking for. We have Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield Health and Dental Insurance, at a small cost to you and a portion of your premiums paid by Health Force. We also provide free private housing with all assignments, and rental car/airfare with most. We have a referral program and tax advantage program to help you make more money on your travels. We are always looking to make our business better, so hopefully in the future there will be more benefits to talk about!
 

What is your average time from acceptance of application to first day on the job for those nurses ready-to-go?

Average turnaround time varies according to available assignments, the qualifications of the traveler and the documentation that they have readily available. This is a hard question. If your file is complete and we have a compatible job-most of our clients are ready to move and accept a profile within 48 hours. There are so many variables that go into a placement; the average placement could take 48 hrs to 2 weeks. We push our clients for 2-3 day turnarounds for the best interest of everyone.

What makes your company more than “just another” travel company?

We have worked for "the other" travel companies-the larger, less personal-been there before. We are not trying to recreate the largest business in town. We want to build a company of people that know and trust each other, relationships that last on both the employee and client side-all of these partnerships are important. We come from one of the largest agencies in the business, yet decided to build Health Force very differently – with an uncompromised focus on the needs of each and every traveler.
