Can
I expect personal service with your company?
Absolutely! Our recruiters are always available and we look out for the
traveler's best interest! We try to meet each nurses individual needs by
providing different packages on each assignment. A travel nurse can
expect to have contract with one recruiter throughout her employment.
We also have a person here that helps with credentialing and housing that a
nurse may hear from every now and again.
Do you cover all the
United States, parts of the U.S. or do you also offer international assignments?
We mainly offer
assignments in California, but occasionally we have assignments in other states!
We are constantly adding more facilities so nurses should always check in
with us to see what is new!
About professional
insurance, do you believe that the insurance that a company provides is good enough, or
does the nurse also need to obtain her own professional insurance?
We offer free
malpractice insurance while on assignment, which should be enough, but there is
no harm in a nurse getting their own too!
What size is your company
(small, medium, large), and can I expect to be treated as a number or a name?
Comforce is a large company, but the travel nursing division is very small
with a total of four nursing recruiters. We have a Director of Medical
Staffing that has been an on sight manager at a hospital who olds all of us
recruiters to a very high ethical standard. You can be sure that you will be
treated as a Name and NOT a number!
I work night shift, what
if I have problems at night? Do you have
someone I can talk to even in the middle of the night?
We
have an on-site office at most of the hospitals we work with, so if there is
a problem, a nurse can speak to someone from Comforce right away.
We
have someone 24/7 to answer your questions.
What other type of
benefits does your company provide?
We
offer high paying assignments, free fully furnished apartments or stipend,
relocation, rental car, insurance, 401K, and a great referral program. Our
referral program offers nurses the ability to make up to $5,000 just for
referring their friends! We
offer loyalty bonuses on each assignment completed after the first
assignment. Also we have an employee discount club (good for tourist
attractions, movies, etc) and we have someone available 24/7 for problems.
We also have RNs on our staff to help with any clinical problems. We also
have weekly pay with direct deposit.
What is your average time
from acceptance of application to first day on the job for those nurses ready-to-go?
Since we are the
vendor managers at most of the hospitals we work with we usually get a 24-48
hr turn around between submittal of initial paperwork (application and
references) and first phone interview. After that it depends on how quickly
the applicant can get the other things done such as Physical, TB test,
Skills and HIPPA tests, license and CPR renewal etc.. So it can take a few
days or it can take a few weeks.

have on-site offices at most of our hospitals so there is always someone a
nurse can physically go to if there is a problem. Comforce works with
