What is your average time
from acceptance of application to first day on the job for those nurses ready-to-go?
For those ready to start immediately, we can complete this
process in one week, sometimes even less.
What size is your company, and can I expect to be treated as a number or a name?
Medium. We offer the best of both worlds because Clinical
One is a small-medium company, but our parent (Randstad) is quite large.
This means our nurses are treated as individuals and our staff know them by
name, yet our nurses also have the security of a larger established company
to back them up (offers financial viability--no risk of us bouncing a
paycheck or going out of business, and good benefits)
Can
I expect personal service with your company?
Absolutely. We believe the Recruiter is one of the most
important elements in the travel company experience. As such, we are very
careful with the recruiters we hire---we require a college degree, solid
work experience, and most important the right personality---passionate, hard
working, caring, able to listen, and motivated to go above and beyond so our
nurses have the best experience possible. We also provide extensive
recruiter training so our employees are guaranteed to receive expert advice
during their travels.
I work night shift, what
if I have problems at night?
We have a manager on call 24/7, 365 days per year. If you
call our main 800 number, instructions on how to connect with the after
hours manager on call are provided.
What other type of
benefits does your company provide?
Excellent health insurance benefits through CIGNA (choice
of 3 plans - a simple one for free single coverage, plus 2 more with
reasonable premiums that are likely the most comprehensive in the industry
as far as coverage. We also offer a 401K plan with matching, RT Travel
reimbursement, Free One Bedroom Apartments, Free On Line CEU's, License
Reimbursement (endorsement or renewal fee for any state you accept a
position with us), weekly pay w. direct deposit or a pay card, bonuses for
contract renewals, 26 week commitments and referrals, Flexible Spending
Accounts, Per Diems, free professional liability insurance
What about professional
insurance?
This is a personal decision and there are 2 schools of
thought (both valid). Personally, I know that the professional liability
insurance our company provides is more than adequate. Of course the coverage
only applies while working for Clinical One. Therefore, if a nurse were
working for multiple employers or free lancing and not certain of the
various coverages, carrying his/her own policy might provide some comfort.
What
makes your company more than just another travel company?
The quality of our internal staff and personalized, expert
service provided sets us apart. We have been in business for 18 years, so we
are not new to this and we look for employees who genuinely care about what
is best for our healthcare professionals. I believe this is why our largest
source of new candidates is from referrals. As mentioned before, the
financial stability of our company (both Clinical One and Randstad) is an
important differentiator in these uncertain economic times. Also,
another benefit of the Randstad network (offer IT, Admin, Accounting
contract jobs), we are often able place non-healthcare spouses/friends
traveling along in other types of contract jobs.
If we make a mistake, we will always do the right thing
(even if it does not financially benefit us)and honor our commitments to
make things right. Also, as President, I would always want to know if a
traveler was not happy with their recruiter (sometimes personalities do not
click)as I would immediately transfer them to someone more
appropriate-...there is never a reason to suffer and work with someone you
do not get on with or to leave a good company just because you do not like
your recruiter.
